Life is such that we'll be many things and versions, which is why we should learn to love all them. What we've been, what we are, and what we'll ever be. Lovely poem, Harneek.
Also loved this: "We all have somethings to solve and even if we solve them, we will have more things to solve."
I agree with Mika. This needs to be taped to my mirror and read out load every morning. It’s such a powerful affirmation of self love, the way we’d probably treat our best friends and lovers, but not usually ourselves. Honestly, I believe self-love is a revolutionary act in this world which tries so hard to make us feel lacking (just so we’ll feel the need to buy shit). Maybe the fact that it feels so rebellious is what makes your mother disapprove. Maybe she has more to learn from you than she knows.❤️
It is ok to be vulnerable, and to be open and honest about ones struggles. It is not weakness or something to necessarily hide. Sure one needs to discern where to post it, but substack with all the nice people that are here. I feel that it is a good place to share about the realness of life. And I am really glad that you are feeling better. It is so sweet what you wrote to yourself and your inner child.
A reminder to care for all parts of who we are - young, old, and in-between and be kind to ourselves. Your poem shows it's important to be your own best friend. Thank for sharing Harneek.
This is beautiful, Harneek! It's so powerful to write a love letter to yourself. The way you break it down to different parts of you, the little girl and the woman you'll become, creates a beautiful sense of unity and growth. You've got a lot of love to give, and it starts right here.
This makes me smile, thank you, Harneek. I love how you hold your inner child with tenderness and your future self with curiosity. In the present, you have the safety in this space to explore your power. I have confidence that you can harmonize and derive strength from all your selves to build your best life. We are here for you.

Wow, this poem is so powerful. We need this taped to our bedside table, so we can be reminded of it when we go to sleep and when we wake up.
