To the woman I will become in this lifetime,
To the woman I am now,
To all the older versions of myself,
To the little girl inside me,
I love you with each cell in my body.
I am looking forward to this life,
As I wanna meet more of you.
I wanna experience everything with you.
I wanna see how your story unfolds.
I wanna hold your hand in your scariest lows.
I wanna hold your hand in your wildest highs.
I wanna remember all your childhood stories.
I wanna know what still aches in your heart.
I wanna know what makes your heartbeat faster.
I wanna know what makes your heart skip a beat.
I wanna read all your poems.
I wanna read whatever comes out of your pen(cil).
I wanna sit with you while you cry out loud and release everything that doesn’t serve you.
I wanna learn to love you the way you always wanted to be loved.
I wanna say this to you every morning, I love you and we got this.
Because you are the kindest, beautiful, talented and loving soul I know.
And you deserve the best of everything!!
Harneek!!
Thanks everyone for all the kind comments, messages and emails I have received on my emotional and vulnerable post last week. My mum was not very happy about me writing about my struggles openly. May be, I will understand where she is coming from when I have a daughter. I am doing better now and taking it slow. Also, not being hard on myself for solving my life and to enjoy what I have in present or what I have already solved. We all have somethings to solve and even if we solve them, we will have more things to solve. May be, life is all about learning to live in the “in-betweens”.
This week’s recommendations:
- on your soul’s yearning for self-love
- . Very beautiful and strong writing on her journey of knowing herself by writing
On romance, angst, texting and getting older by
on dealing with heartbreaks and letting things go when there is no reciprocity
Life is such that we'll be many things and versions, which is why we should learn to love all them. What we've been, what we are, and what we'll ever be. Lovely poem, Harneek.
Also loved this: "We all have somethings to solve and even if we solve them, we will have more things to solve."
Beautiful poem Harneek! Glad you are feeling better 😊
