this resonates with me so strongly. i told myself to rest last weekend. i did not rest last weekend. i told myself to use august to focus. i did not focus. i am telling myself to become a hermit in september and get back to basics. we will see.
Hey Elizabeth, it happens. And when it happens, going hard on myself doesn’t work for me, only thing which works for me is going extra gentle and slow with myself. I wish you luck for September, you got this 💚
I felt this, Harneek, especially you’re concluding “a mission to save myself from myself”. Why are we our own worst enemies? When body and mind collide, I find it’s safer and more necessary to listen to the body (and soul!). The mind has already received inordinate amounts of our fuel and attention. The body deserves some love, too.❤️
“A mission where I forgot my actual mission.” You made me think why we forget what we start upon and fall back to old patterns. But the next lines gave me the 💡. We can always stop and start a new one which is better than pondering on why we lost our way. Beautiful poem, Harneek. I too am in a mission to take it slow one at a time. Let’s go together.🤍
You put it so well Shanjitha, instead of looking for reasons why we fall for older patterns, we can just pivot when we catch ourselves going the other way😊
Ah Harneek, yes, this is exactly it. Thank you.
Thanks Kirstie 💚
I know what this feels like and you described it so well!

Completely agree with you Nida, our body deserves all the love and attention 💚

Thanks Jessica, I am glad my words spoke to you :)
